Daniel C. Shumake joined the firm in 2010. Mr. Shumake has practiced law since 2000 in the areas of estate planning, probate administration, guardianships and conservatorships, as well as probate litigation. Mr. Shumake also serves both divisions of Shelby County Probate Court as a Guardian Ad Litem appointee. He is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and Mississippi. Mr. Shumake is a faculty member for the National Business Institute, teaching continuing legal education courses in the areas of probate administration and estate planning, and serves on the fee dispute committee of the Memphis Bar Association. Mr. Shumake received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Mississippi in 1994, and in 2000 received his Juris Doctorate from Washington and Lee University School of Law, Lexington, Virginia. Mr. Shumake is a member of the Memphis Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association and the Mississippi Bar. He maintains an active presence in the Memphis music scene.
