Edward T. Autry
Edward T. Autry joined the firm in 1996. Mr. Autry’s practice is generally limited to the areas of estate planning, probate administration, estate litigation, trust litigation and business related transactions. His practice includes the preparation of estate planning documents, the preparation of Federal Estate Tax Returns and State Inheritance Tax Returns and the administration of estates and trusts in Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas. Mr. Autry has substantial litigation experience regarding estate and trust matters.
Mr. Autry is certified as an Estate Planning Specialist by the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education & Specialization. He is an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP) and holds an Estate Planning Law Specialist (EPLS) designation from the Estate Law Specialist Board, the only American Bar Association approved organization which grants specialist designations to attorneys.
Mr. Autry is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Greater Memphis and is the former Treasurer of the Planned Giving Council of Greater Memphis. Mr. Autry has taught professional continuing education courses for attorneys, CPAs, CFPs and life insurance agents on the topics of estate planning and probate administration and has been a guest lecturer at the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis.
Mr. Autry is a member of the Memphis and Tennessee Bar Associations. He has been admitted to practice law in Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia and the District of Columbia.
