Alan R. Wolfe
Alan R. Wolfe joined the firm in 1988. His practice primarily focuses on two areas of law. The first area involves commercial transactions, including commercial loan closings, review and drafting of contracts, and general corporate matters. He serves as a closing attorney for several business brokerage firms and assists individual clients in the buying and selling of businesses. The second area of Mr. Wolfe’s practice concentration is civil litigation. He is the senior trial attorney at the firm and handles insurance defense cases, commercial litigation and personal injury actions. He has served as a special judge both in the Probate Courts and General Sessions Courts of Shelby County.
Mr. Wolfe is certified as a Rule 31 Mediator by the Tennessee Supreme Court as a general civil mediator. In addition, he is currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Alternate Dispute Resolution section of the Memphis Bar Association. He has also served as a member of the Judicial Practice and Procedure Committee of the Memphis Bar Association.
Mr. Wolfe is a native Memphian. He received his bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1976. He received his law degree from Memphis State University in 1979. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Order and served for many years as an Adjunct Professor of Business Law at Christian Brothers University. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Serve Management Group, Inc., a non-profit faith-based missions service organization based in Cumming, Georgia.
Mr. Wolfe is a member of the Memphis Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association. He is admitted to practice law in the courts of Tennessee and in the Federal Court system.
